The 4A Games development studio and the publisher Deep Silver presented to the public the official minimum, recommended and optimal system requirements for the upcoming blockbuster Metro: Last Light. And judging by them, in order to see the game in all its glory, players will have to acquire very cool pieces of iron.
Published on the official GeForce website (the game is optimized for graphics cards of this particular manufacturer), the system requirements are as follows:
Minimum system requirements:
- Operating system Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8;
- At least dual core Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a frequency of 2.2 GHz;
- 2 GB of RAM;
- Graphics card level Nvidia GTS 250 or AMD HD Series Radeon 4000 with support for DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3;
- Availability Direct X 9.0c.
3D Vision technology requires a graphics card with a minimum NVIDIA GTX 275 level, a monitor with 120 Hz scanning support, and an Nvidia 3D Vision kit for Windows Vista, 7 or 8.
Recommended system requirements:
- Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8;
- Quad-core processor with a frequency of 2.6 GHz, minimum Intel Core i5;
- 4 GB of RAM;
- Nvidia GTX 580/660 Ti or AMD HD 7870 graphics card, or newer;
- Direct X 11 support.
To support 3D Vision mode, you need a GTX 580 / 660Ti video card or older, a 120 Hz monitor, and an Nvidia 3D Vision kit for Windows Vista, 7 or 8.
Optimal system requirements:
- Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8;
- Multi-core Intel Core i7 processor with a frequency of 3.4 GHz;
- 8 GB of RAM;
- Direct X 11;
- Video card class Nvidia GTX 690 or NVIDIA Titan.
To support 3D Vision, Nvidia GTX 690, a 120 Hz monitor, and the Nvidia 3D Vision kit for Windows Vista, 7 or 8 are required.
The first part of the Metro franchise was liked by many fans of the post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Metro: Last Light, which will be released on May 14 in the US and three days later in Europe, promises even more spas, interesting stories and great graphics.
