Valve has announced that in the near future, their Steam gaming service, which unites tens of millions of players around the world, will learn to play users' music during gameplay.
The new feature will be called Steam Music, and its beta testing will begin very soon. Steam Music scans your music files on all disk drives, sorts them into directories, albums and artists, and then presents the music library in a convenient form for you.
Any music track can be included both outside and inside any game using a special service menu. Of course, this feature will appeal to those gamers who like to turn off "default music" in games and play under their own soundtrack.
