Within the framework of the exhibition GDC 2017, where representatives of the gaming industry gather annually, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti video card was presented, which is an improved version of the previous number model.
NVIDIA President Huang Jenxun assured those attending the presentation that the GTX 1080 Ti is 35% more efficient than the usual GTX 1080. The card is equipped with 11 gigabytes of GDDR5X memory, 352-bit bus and 3584 graphics cores. Moreover, the company's new flagship is even faster than the insanely expensive Titan X for $ 1,200. The peak performance of the card is at the level of 11.5 teraflops, while the Titan X produces only 11 teraflops. Requirements for the heat dissipation of the new video card, as in the case of the Titan X, are 250 watts.
Those who like to play modern video games on ultra graphics settings should start to postpone the money today, because the GTX 1080 Ti will go on sale from March 5 to 10 (the exact day of the start of sales has not yet been named) and will cost fans the maximum performance of 699 dollars. But, among other things, there is another great news: the usual GTX 1080 with the release of the flagship will become cheaper by about $ 100.
