July 2, 2012 - SAN FRANCISCO AND LONDON - Today SEGA® of America, Inc. and SEGA® Europe, Ltd. reported that The Creative Assembly studio, creator of the award-winning series of PC strategy games called Total War ™, is currently developing Total War: Rome II ™.
The strategy is based on the events of one of the most famous periods in world history, combining the most extensive step-by-step campaign with the most realistic battles of real time that have ever been encountered in computer games.
Total War: Rome II ™ will immerse users in the dangerous world of the political intrigues of the Roman Senate, confronting them with complex issues of resolving dynastic feuds, loyalty, the choice of "friends" and allies. The leadership of the greatest army during the battles will be only one of the many challenges that players will face, acting as head of one of the world superpowers.
Will you contribute to the strengthening of the Empire? Do you restore the Republic? Maybe you want to leave the reins of government, choosing the path of the hated tyrant? Who will win? Who are willing to betray? Who can donate?
What are you ready for for Rome?
“Our games have always been built on the basis of a global concept,” says creative director Mike Simpson. “This time we decided to go much further. Extensive campaigns and the personal drama of a particular warrior on the battlefield: we want to achieve an incredible level of detail and an impressive scale of action at the same time. ”
“We dedicated 25 years to creating games, and the decision to return to topics that were developed in our most successful times is completely logical,” continues brand director Rob Bartholomew. - "Since the original product was released, several generations of technologies have changed in the gaming industry, and now we plan to establish a new benchmark in the field of strategic games."
Release of Total War: Rome II ™ to be held in 2013.
