According to Reuters news agency, on July 3, 2014, Lindsay Lohan sued the game developers in the face of the studio of Rockstar Games and the publisher Take-Two. Lawyers Lindsey argue that the game character named Lacey Jonas strongly resembles an actress, which is a gross violation of rights in the state of New York.
The character Lacey Jonas appears in several side-quests of the game, in one of which the player will have to help her escape from the annoying paparazzi. During this chase, Lacey endlessly laments that she is overweight, disgusting hair and, in general, how heavy the share of a superstar is.
The lawsuit against the developers also mentions the Cheateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood, in which Lindsay Lohan once lived and hid from the hotel management without paying a bill of $ 46,000. In the game GTA V, this hotel is also used in one of the storyline quests, during which the player must quietly capture the obscene behavior of another virtual celebrity Poppy Mitchell on the video.
Lawyers Lindsay Lohan believe that all this is based on the life of their client, and therefore developers can be held accountable for the unlawful use of her image in these offensive game scenes.
