Nanospace - an unusual game about aliens and chemistry from a domestic developer

In a very interesting time we live with you. If earlier video games could be created exclusively by large companies and studios, then with the development of computer technologies, we are increasingly confronted with real masterpieces developed by tiny collectives of talented people united by an idea. One of these games is the unusual 3D platformer Nanospace from the Russian designer Mikhail Menzelintsev. Not only that the plot is twisted around the invasion of microscopic aliens to Earth, so also the interaction between these aliens is based on real principles of general chemistry.

So, as I already mentioned above, along with a meteorite, alien spores get to Earth. After millions of years, one of the surviving spores is activated, resulting in the emergence of three tiny biomechanical creatures, called developers "nano-mitami." All of them have different abilities, but they are a single organism that is in symbiosis. Nano-mits know how to collect, split and transform chemical elements, on which the basic game mechanics Nanospace is based. Extraterrestrial organisms have to survive in uneasy terrestrial conditions, and also prepare a planet for the subsequent invasion of other aliens.

At first glance, the game is a 3D platformer with elements of real-time strategy, where the player will manage three nano-mits within the closed locations, solve puzzles, fight against hostile terrestrial organisms, and collect bonuses. Nano-Mit Tracker is able to fly, take samples of substances for the presence of necessary elements, in which case leaving marks after themselves, and also warns the player of the dangers. The second nano-mit Harvester, as it is clear from the title, is engaged in the extraction of minerals and organic substances, as well as their transportation. The tags left by the Tracker help Harvester quickly find the right items. Extracted minerals are placed in a cocoon, in which they accumulate and mutate. The last nano-mit Sentinel is a born hunter and warrior. He protects the rest of the group, and also synthesizes various poisonous and intensifying chemical compounds.

In other words, we have an extremely stylish and unusual game in which the player willy-nilly pulls up his knowledge of chemistry, as well as hone the skills of the strategist. After all, every now and then you will have to synthesize various antibiotics, poisons, enzymes and much more. Constantly switching between the three characters, you will need to achieve the set tasks to pass the current level, and for this you need to learn the skills of the trio of nano-mits and learn how to use them for the benefit of the whole group. At the moment, the game Nanospace is a member of the program Steam Greenlight , and if the players will like the unusual idea of the project, the developers will be able to distribute it through the store of Gabe Newell. In addition, in the future, the developer promises us also a version for the game console PlayStation 4. Let us wish good luck to our compatriot in his endeavors and let's hope that Nanospace will be on sale in the very near future.
